Pato's got world wide publicity last year with a feature article in "Vogue" ("Dream Dates," December, 2001, pp. 318-321). Their photo is of dates from our farm, and they recommend Pato's, along with three other growers, offering "the most succulent..." (www.vogue.com).
The Los Angeles Times (Food Section, 9/19/01, www.latimes.com/food) has a fine feature article by David Karp, "Romance of the Date." Karp lists Pato's, at the Alhambra Farmers' Market, Sunday mornings, among "our favorite places to buy dates..."
And the Claremont Courier "Almanac" edition, pp. 18-24, runs a long interview and lots of pictures of us and our farm ($1 each from Claremont Courier, 111 S. College Ave., Claremont, Ca 91711, email firstname.lastname@example.org).
Our medjhool dates received first and second prize in the Indio Date Festival.
Our Tabarzal dates received two first place awards in the Indio Date Festival.
