A Unique Family Farm. . .

Pato’s Dream Date Gardens is a 5-acre farm located in the Coachella Valley of Southern California, about 150 miles east of Los Angeles (30 miles from Palm Springs). Dates like the intense desert conditions, with rainfall usually below 5” a year. Temperatures usually top 100 on a daily basis from June through September. July and August days often hit 110 - 120 or higher! Our farm is actually 68 feet below sea level and the San Andreas Fault comes to the earth’s surface only a few miles from our house.

We grow our dates as they were grown in the times of the Bible and Koran, without any artificial chemicals or poisons or pesticides or sprays. We do not use any fumigants or sulfur on our soil or our fruit. We sell our fruit direct from the palm to you - no “washing” or steaming or rehydrating them to puff them up; no processing of any kind; no fumigating them with methyl bromide, as most imported and commercial dates are; no preservatives of any kind - a completely natural fruit. You may want to rinse off the desert dust before use, or refrigerate or freeze for future use.

We are long-time members of the United Farm Workers of America, AFL-CIO. We’re proud to be producing this unique food for your health and pleasure.
